how do I bodge a BNC antenna

Post by teddyt »

Hope this is in the right place.

I picked up a realistic base scanner today but it has no antenna (so seems deaf) before I go and order a new one how can I test to see if it works
can I just use a bit of wire etc???

A lot of them also have a (missing) screw-in telescopic antenna, if there's a hole on the top towards the rear then you can poke a wire down there too.
