Monaco Road marine weather broadcasts

Post by seahorse »

Hello chaps, I'm a new boy. While on holiday in Spain picked up Monaco Radio marine weather broadcasts on 8728, in both French and English, read live by a guy with a thick 'Allo Allo accent - probably had a Gauloise burning away and a glass of vin du pays to hand. Ended the transmission with "'ave a nice day, good trip.'' Delighted to discover I can pick it up (just) on my rather modest equipment (ooo err) here in the northern wastes. Best signal was about 11am GMT one Sat morning. They are also use 4363 and some higher frequencies, which I can't bring to mind right now.
