Has anybody used a grundig yacht boy 400 receiver if you have are they any good at tuneing ssb in ,do they have a fine tune to do this ,At the moment i am useing a yupi 7100 scanner and finding it very hard to tune ssb without a fine tune on it and was wondering if i would be better off with something like this grundig yacht boy 400 i have seen for saleon e/bay lot no 130266239648 .

the 7100 does have a fine tune on it, you need to change the step size to like 100hz or whatever.

I have a Grundig YB400 and its a great little radio . with narrow switch on SSB audio is good.
Its no good for CW partiulaly on the crouded ham bands as the filter is to wide.
other wire a good reciever with good performance.
the only word of waring is that the build quality is not wonderfull.
It does not feel that solid and mine has a crackely volume control.
