Anyone recommend a listening antenna for this radio for hf frequencies,I have been looking at the Wonder Wand Wideband one,does anyone know anything about these antennas,any help would be grateful

I use it with my sdr rx and works fine compared to loop antennas I own.

Do not bother about high power resistors. Since antenna will be used to rx only you can use 0.25W ones.

Your first picture has a mixture of microwave, UHF and VHF antennas speeddemon, not much use on a 735.
