Is this receiver good for dx Ing for weak signals like pirate stations for sale used 300 $ on eBay is it worth it

I'm not familiar with this set, only the 'D' and 'VI', any chance of a photo?

The simple answer is no, it's a reasonable old set, but it's a ham band only transceiver with no 0-30 RX like modern sets.
