Joint warrior freqs?

Post by punkrocker62 »

Hi, I am right next to the Firth of Clyde and the years first joint warrior exercises are under-way, any good freqs for Navy / Air force on exercise? Weekend weather was meant to be sunny, was like pea soup out there :(

Hi Punkrocker

I posted these back in Sept. 2013
http://tinyurl.com/njf34df but I'm sure they are still active around Joint Warrior Time.

Worth searching all the UHF airband as plenty of freqs get used that are silent the rest of the year.

Here's a handful that seem to be used in all such exercises:
269.80000 AM NATO common 'CONSHIP'.
312.50000 AM Royal Navy common A2A A2G.
313.17500 AM Royal Navy — Eagle Safety during exercises.
314.30000 AM rptd Royal Navy FOST exclusion zone. 'simulated guard freq'.

VHF Marine freqs have been used in previous years, esp :71 :72 :15

Also UHF freqs (406–450 range) used on board some ships, but limited range.

Remember that foreign navy vessels may use freqs in unexpected places!
