Magnetic loops

Post by Chrispy » 29 Dec 2013, 15:00

Having made several magentic loop aerials to transmit high power (needing a wide spaced capacitor) they work with a lose of 10 to 16 dB both for transmit and receiving. I wonder who christened them magnetic loops as there is no such thing as receiving the magnetic component of an em wave separately.
