You can't/shouldn't talk on the air band unless licensed and using it for its correct use, listening in is fine.

If you want to talk to people over the radio get yourself a cb radio.

..do you have the CAA certificate of competency and valid business using airband??..

..if not be very very careful, pilots do not have ch19 or s20 and will not have casual chatter with you or me, calling an aircraft on vhf-air will cause problems and confusion,

I use airband at work and I was required to sit two exams and l still cannot just grab a radio and call up random aircraft...

Defo not the band for 1 19 a copy.

Im not trying to be negative but be careful.

Definately a troll but even if he did manage to get a handheld that would transmit on am airband (most doubtful) you would have The CAA and every other criminal authority come down on you like a ton of bricks, and you would become big Cecil's wife in the nick.

No way of tracing people using a handheld transceiver unless they key the mic for hours...

But if they are talking to pilots they would be transmitting for a period long enough for triangulation
And I am sure the government would use the anti terrorism laws to their fullest capability regardless
of the person even trying to terrorise a mouse.
so good luck and happy transmitting :D

I'm almost seeing that as a challenge...

But I won't though.
