Possible Edinburgh Tattoo flypasts 2017?

Postby stratocaster » 12 Jul 2017, 09:26

Eyes to the skies and scanners on! Keep a lookout for notams regarding any possibility of the Tattoo flypasts, 4th -26th August.
On a tangent, keep an eye on notams for possibility of flypast for the Queensferry crossing opening on the 30th of August just after the tattoo, There's a certain display team available on that day as they don't seem to be booked for anything according to their webpage! ;) Just guessing!

This just in, courtesy of my searching and Stu looking at an aviation based website!
This year the flypasts consist of....
5th @ 7:30pm Hawk
9th @9pm Typhoon
11th @9pm Tucano
15th @9pm A400M "Atlas"
16th @9pm C130 "Hercules"
18th @9pm 2 Phoons
25th @9pm 2 Phoons

At long bloody last I will manage to get an A400M!

With reference to my earlier post regarding keeping an eye open for notams regarding Queensferry crossing opening, I was reliably informed that it will be the 4th that it is officially opened by Her Maj! So a possibility of something then too! Then again on the 8th, the Naming ceremony of the carrier Prince of Wales, hopefuly as Her Maj will be carrying out that duty there may be a flypast there too?
