Ive been having a problem with record and sound lately..the speakers have been staying on..playing SDR Console V2 when Ive used it.
Now I find my Funcube + is listed under recording?

I am having problems getting acars to decode with Acarsd, and I noticed exactly the same thing on my XP pro system yesterday when I was trying to sort the problem out.
Back at work until Sunday morning so I will have another look at it then.

it used to represent the sound card now it does this..if i disable it and put it through playback..it works but never switches off..and the speakers continually hiss and i
can hear frequency sounds..its very strange why it should start to do this.

The FUNCube Dongle is a usb audio device and will appear as an 'input' recording device, what windows seems to do is use it as the default device when it installs it.

Just select another device you want as the default.

If you swap the dongle into another usb port and it reinstalls the drivers, chances are it will be selected as the default again.

Audio in to your PC = recording
Audio out of your PC =playback

My FCD P+ is a recording device.

well thanks for that, but it hasn't all ways been like that in my case..mine just showed up in
audio..never in record which seemed odd..but i definitely can't use SDR console with it, the
software just freezes up and continues to broadcast even when i restart the computer.
so no more SDR console for me.
