pic based encoder reader
Probably better on a electronics forum but I thought I would ask anyway, I have been searching for a while now for a simple pic programme to read a rotary encoder. What I need is just a high or low output from the pic for two chanels, indicating either left or right rotation. For someone used to working in pic basic or similar I am sure it would be a simple task, but I have no experience of the programming of these things other than with existing code. Any help greatly appreciated. Karl. M0KRL
Whoever suggested repair by replacement, should be repaired by replacement!!!

Re: pic based encoder reader
Here is a link to a site with full detail of how to build a digital readout to fit on a lathe (I've made it)
The program for the pic is there and full circuit diagram.
