Picked this up for a fair price.
Yeap . I bought all the bits to make my own cables Andy . I just haven't had any time to actually make them yet . I'll add it to my list of things to do when I retire

Just bought another ranger this time a 2950 dx3 and for the £125 i paid its a bargain even still has the origonal security seal on the cases so im the first to open the box and that was only to install my spare e chip to expand the frequencies..
To be honest the seller knew nothing about this radio apart from the fact it was left in a van she bought but its in absolute immaculate condition and im over the moon with it so time to sell my old 2950dx

i bought the recent ebay cobra 140 gtl
Jeez...wasn't that the one that was going for about £132 last time I saw it????
I can't say too much though as I've just stumped up £45 incl. P&P for a mint and boxed Fidelity Homebase. Mental I is.
Looks like Collect+ couriers have lost this radio!!!
They "attempted delivery" on the 17th but strangely left no card and the neighbour was in that always accepts my stuff too. Maybe that's when they realised it wasn't on the van. They said they'd reschedule but that's where the tracking info ended for 4 days. They then put a "contact us" message on it saying to call after we'd both made enquiries. The sender said they're chasing it up, but it's not looking good. Poor old Fidelity Homebase, all alone out there somewhere...unloved
No change, no tracking update status, no radio. Bloody useless.
I sold a set of hifi speakers a couple of weeks ago and it took 3 days for them to collect them from the shop I took them to! The same happened with the Fidelity. It wasn't collected for 3 days from the shop and the seller had to complain to Collect+'s customer service people and gee them up a bit.
I'm seriously thinking about using someone else for larger items in the future, even if this way is very convenient and only 200yds away.

Use UPS drop off in store. Only about 50p and is next day delivery.

Well the good news (I hope) is that Yodel attempted a delivery today according to their note. They must deliver the stuff for Collect+. Looking at the Collect+ site, it tallies in. Fingers crossed it's been found

The Adams is a huge true classic
Yeah. A quality radio. I sold the last one I had a while back, so thought it was time I bought another

to the chrome type if possible
I've never seen chrome buttons that size for the Adams . They're smaller than the ones in the middle . Anyway , I may have to put something on the CH9/19 switches (+5/10/15khz ?) as I may need to use them for the Maurer module . Can't remember how I did it last time . I'll recap it as well . Hopefully I'll keep this one .....
