The place to talk about specific radios, equipment and accessories. Do you prefer the latest generation of rigs and antennas or do you like the classics? Discuss it here!

what the hell have the faults on the Mk1 Lincoln/2830 which i have and enjoy , got to do with the question i asked anyway ???
Yes, common courtesy. I see plenty of it on the forum day in and day out on a whole host of matters.
As for references to the MK1 Lincoln/2830 encoder issues. Very often threads meander around the original subject matter. That's what happens when people discuss things. As a result information may pop up in a thread that will assist others. It's what forums are all about, sharing information. But as Sammy highlighted, that's a bit of a one way street with you isn't it.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...
Talk about being two faced ,im happy to help anyone out hear but you,ve been off my list for a while , i have just had a look at some of your posts and i see no please or thank you on them , no you never broke any of your rules just rules you expect from others ,never mind sammy we all have a bad day now and then ,i am 71 years young ,was one of the first users of the cb radio ,as i live quite near to the usa bases of mildenhall and lakenheath which i used visit quite often as they where the in places to go ,and as i was a member of there custom car clubs i had my own ford hotrod with a 7lt V8 engine we uesed the cb to keep in contact those where the days , So sammy you think you are right and sammy i know i am right ,hope to either meet or talk with you on the old cb when i am in spain next latter in the year
Instead of starting endless threads why not use the search function to find the answers your looking for ? That way you'll have nobody to thank but yourself
I'm not being two faced . I'm telling it to your face right now . And I don't care how old you are . If you haven't seen me thank people then you might want to get your eyes tested as well . If this forum was full of people like you then it would be a pretty lonely place . I ask for help when I need it . AND give help when I can . Then I thank them . That's what a forum is all about . It's not a lot to ask . I do not jump in . Ask a question . Get it solved . Don't say thanks . And then disappear until the next question comes back up 2 minutes later . That's the way I see you . Look . I've said what I wanted to say ,and I'm going to leave it at that . I'm not in the habit of having a go at people , but some things need to be said . The fact that I'm not the only one that feels this way may make you realise that there's a problem somewhere .

Apologies if I stepped over the line , but it's just something that winds me up a bit . I'll leave it at that .

Let's not argue?!
Anyway for what it's worth... It's the Lincoln 2 plus I've got. It's the latest version
apparently.
First impressions aren't that bad for a used radio, I wouldn't pay £260 for one!!!
It's not that far off my ft450 for sensitivity. It's more prone to problems from strong stations close by nor does it have the capability to suppress them.
Transmitted audio sounds nice on ssb.
This is just my quick first impression. It's not a hf set and won't behave like one!
The controls are no tinnier than any of the other modern CB things!
It is not a bargain at full asking price but ok for a used radio at more sensible money.
Cheers
