The seller is not flexible to post . I tried with another radio he had for sale .

I bought a stryker 955 with no mike . I contacted stryker and they sold me an original stock mic for about £20 posted to uk.i heard the noise cancelling ones were not as good .
I get great reports and i really cannot think of anything more i could want from a radio .
Reports put it above my magnum s9 and below my magnum 1.
But for bells n whistles and smile factor it tops the stack

Going slightly OT, there's a guy about 40 miles ATCF from me with a Magnum S9, not sure if it's a similar rig to the Stryker or not, but his has a 'Topgun Modulator', I have no idea if it's a compressor/amp or a speech processor or something else, but he's always around S2, but with the topgun thing on he really cuts through the crap and sounds rather good, so if your Stryker has one of them then I'd get one because it certainly works for him.

Sadly there's no Top Gun modulator on the Stryker 955. I think it's a Magnum exclusive feature (please correct me if I'm wrong). Also, I believe that feature only works on AM?

Indeed, the Stryker noise cancelling mic's are poor. I've listened to a station swap between the stock mic and the noise canceling mic and the difference was very noticeable. The stock mic won hands down for audio quality. I'm sure Simonthewizard did a video stating that the stock mic outperforms most other mic's on the Stryker, and this I have found to be true through experience of using mine.

They're not a cheap radio new or second hand. But they are a very good quality radio and a joy to use
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

The second hand value seems to have crept up since Radiozing stopped importing them and the dollar has shot up so importing one will sting .

Thanks for that Chris. I had an idea you had to plug the lead in a computer. Trouble is with buying one second hand it didnt come with a software disc and lead. Will give Radiozing a call and get one ordered. Thanks again mate.

These look an interesting radio, although I am presonally not keen on all of the bling.

Don't they use a Qixiang board similar to the Alinco/CRE?

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.
