Out of all the presidents I have on my desk (see my you tube) the Grant 1 and 2 are the best.

Each Grant outperforms eachother, but for ease of use I would choose the G1, but the G2 is right beside it.

RX on the L2 is a shambles unless the RF (R)Gain is right down.

Already had a video deleted from You tube. Lincoln 1 v Lincoln 2. Cant think why, no copyright issues.

Finally have both radios here so will be testing both over the weekend. There were no issues with shipping, can only thank Nevada for their speedy service. Will say the Lincoln II performed superb on 10 metres this afternoon, even with all the wind we have had this morning and this afternoon blowing the 827 wild the recieve was spot on. I have bought a fewer of the newer radios in the last few years and always have to turn the Rf Gain back to around quarter past so the Lincoln II is no differant. Both radios perform well and just toying with the idea of opening them up to cover the export mode.

Just want to see if people's views have changed on either radio since the launch of revised version's.Bought a Lincoln 2 V3 at the weekend and it is an improvement over the V1 I had 4 year ago,V3 cost me £100.Told the Fm modulation was low,but 575 m6,opek,and Turner s.s power mics enhance the audio.Might try a + in the future.

The Grant 2 V1 was universally panned. So many issues which let both the radio and President down. The V2 "premium" was hands and feet a better radio. All the issues had been resolved, more output power, better filtering...

So yes, my view has changed regarding the G2. But only because of the "premium" version. Had President released this version it might well have been a different story regarding the radio's success.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

I purchased a new G2 premium in 2016 and the meter was mega lazy, and it was returned to the shop over the water (r.i.p) the next day.
2 locals have Grant premiums and they are really lazy on the meter aswell,so wouldn't have said all of the premiums issues had been resolved.

L2+ has 12/11/10 m,V3 only 11/10 Sammy.Meant to have better tx audio on fm,and better rx.

Used the V3 mobile for the first time last night (used V1 mobile aswell) and it worked good enough for me,the 6 memory channels/frequencies make it easy to use whilst mobile.

The Grant 2 V1 I had was not as lazy on the meter compared to the really lazy one on the premium I had ;)

Hmm Grant 2 or Lincoln 2.

Prefer an old school radio myself Simon, but the newer mobile radios are far easier to use when mobile, and take up less space and it was a good price to me for a boxed L2 V3 with all the original stuff in the box,and non radio folk say the L2/G2 look better than 148/3900 sitting on the dash but especially at night

I have bough of them: Grant-2 (not premium) and Lincoln-2+.
Linkoln-2+ is much better radio in all aspects except:
Very small display to read frequency.
Not accurate meter to measure receiving signals.
In memory mod you can only scroll through your 6 memory frequencies, but not use that mod to rapid jump on upper or lower bands how it was in Grant-2.

The L2 I use has 27.781.2 Fm,27.555 Usb,27.385 Lsb,27.315 Fm,27.275 Usb,27.025 Am,stored into the memories,and I just use the channel change/vco to get either side of each frequency/mode stored.I only use 10m radios on 27MHz CB,so it works fine for me ;)

Hi 108EH002,
I use LII+ together with Texas Star 500W linear mostly for DX in my SUV.
My channel selector set to 1khz (many South American stations QSI to 27.577mhz, 27.633mhz etc for example); therefore, it’s a very long way for me to rotate the knob to get a required frequency.
For basic CB operation your way can be used
