Adding CEPT to an Audioline 340/341

Post by russburt »

Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong forum area but how easy is it? I can't find any online guides but someone has given me a 340 and 341 for free and I fancy playing about with them.

I was last on CB in the early 90s and added cept to some Rotel 240s and York 863s so I have some idea of what I'm doing but of course it's coming up to 20 years since then.

TIA

I forgot until someone else sent me a msg earlier, That there is some info missing for the Mid block conversion on the link above..

You also have to cut the trace going to pin 4 on the TC9119 PLL and solder a piece of wire from the trace you just cut and run the other end to pin 1 [Pin 4 is left blank]

Without this the mod wont work.

I now have mid banded a uniace 300 and that is working fine to so i would say them PLLs are ok

I've just down this mod and it works great but the power from channel 35 below on the mid band drops until i get to channel 1 where it's a 1/2 watt.

Is that normal ?

Have you retuned the final stage ? I presume it'll need adjusting .

It might need some components changing (Capacitors/Inductors) . I don't know what the final stage is like on those radios . Nick (Black Spirit) will no doubt know how narrow banded they are .

Could be a LPF issue, some are tighter than others.
