Off to France in a few days, and plan to take my Lincoln.
Do I adjust my callsign and if so how?
Cheers........

Re: DXing Abroad
or just use 14 instead of 26...
if your licenced amateur you should be ok with a rig like that through customs, and can prove it..
but for CB i doubt you'll get through if they check as it's not a legal CEPT CB..
legal CB is france is 40ch mid band all mode, so unless you can make the lincoln 40ch mid band or prove your an amateur..

Re: DXing Abroad
There isn't a French TM member using that callsign - but there might have been, so not entirely a good idea Mark.bigpimp347 wrote:or just use 14 instead of 26...
As far as the Lincoln is concerned, it may be wise to get a local tame shop to issue you with a purchase receipt to take with you, in order to prove you bought it back home. Othrwise coming back they might try to sting you for duty.

Cheers for all the input lads.......
But I've decided not to bother takin' it....dont fancy sweaty palms thru customs, might draw attention to all the 'Class A' in the glove box.....
And what with it being a minter, I dont want to lose it.
Good ol' Realistic TRC 2001 will be making the trip.......they're welcome to it.

Re: DXing Abroad
I think the correct way to present a 26 freeband call abroad would be 14/26TM095 although there are no hard and fast rules as it's.. erm, freeband That seems to be the preferred way of doing this from other stations I've heard on air.
