I use cluster.dk mainly to see if there are any special stations (SOTA / IOTA / Mobile) active, so I can tune into their frequency and wait for favorable propagation to come in. More and more stations start to use QRP power to make their contacts, you can easily miss them if you are just quickly browsing the bands.
If I had an interesting QSO I put a "Spot" on cluster for others to see that there is a possible opening for them to also make a succesfull effort in a certain direction.
You can use cluster.dk in many different ways, even as your logbook but this does mean your computer and internet connection always have to be on.
I find the chatbox in cluster pretty useless, always some fanboys swarming around the "Big Guns" like they are some kind of gods, realy pathetic sometimes.
So trustworthy & accurate? It's just what you put into it yourself and how you use it.
I think it's a usefull tool for having a general sense of the current propagation.
On the other hand,....
I find myself more and more enjoying my hobby without even having to turn on my computer.
I just put some headphones on, a pen and a piece of paper in front of me and then it's just me and the transceiver submerging into the airwaves. You can focus so much better without the distractions of a computerscreen even picking up the faintest signals.
Give it a try!

Hi Andy, long time and good to see you're still active.
Well I think we have to admit that the French are the ones keeping the 11m dx-world very much alive at the moment.
Some of their dx-groups are quite active on the bands, often packing up their gear, transmitting from small islands or from high up in the mountains giving us the chance to obtain some exotic QSL-cards. Besides from some small Scandinavian groups and offcourse some very enthousiastic Tango-Mike members (the exact reason why I joined) I don't see that much outdoor dx-activity compared to our French collegues (correct me if I'm missing something here and tell me where to look).
I often think of setting up some kind of simple dxpedition myself but since I'm a real big fan of QRP the lack of height here in The Netherlands prevents me from doing that succesfully
Maybe I'll have to climb some high building for that and call it BOTA
Anyway, propagation looks to be getting better al the time, hope to hear you all calling this summer.
