UK Band Plans for anyone that needs them

Post by nay27uk »

OK.

So if you are like I am then you will be constantly on a band and forget where the band starts and where it ends as well as forgetting where you are allowed to use each mode.

There are band Allocations on the internet but not all of us have a Computer, Laptop, Phone or Tablet by us all of the time to check with, Me Included.

I wanted a nice looking but simple band Allocation list that I could print off and have blue tacked to my desk where my radio is so that I don't have to have any of the above mentioned gadgets by my side every time I wanted to remember what the Allocation was for a particular band I was working.

I have spent the last 3 hours creating 3 printable band Allocations in Microsoft Office Word 2010 and thought I would share them here for anyone that wishes to use them.

They are in zip folders and in Microsoft Office word 2010 DOC format.

Here they are.

HF BAND PLAN

VHF BAND PLAN

UHF BAND PLAN

I would be interested to know if I got anything wrong in them as I have had to use other websites for the information as the RSGB Band Plans are a total nightmare to follow as they are all colour coordinated but with no legend of what the colours are.

If anything is wrong with what I have put together then please let me know exactly what and I will update them

Great post but hell to download. I tried with Opera and kept getting virus warnings took a chance and switched off all my anti virus but still the same.
Tried again with Edge and after getting through all the pop up the hosting site produced I eventually get the files.
Thanks :)

Nice work, you need to change your word 'allowed' to 'recommended'. You could have just nicked The RSGB Ltd bandplans.

Bandplan is a gentlemans agreement, but as most of us are gentlemen then we kind of observe it, but if some CW nonce gets pissy because I'm using easypal near the CW section then there isn't a whole load he can do other than politely ask me to move up.

If your homebrew charts work for you then that's brilliant, and hopefully they will be of use to others too.

ps I didn't have any trouble downloading them

Cool cheers Admiral and thanks for the comment.

I also have a daily call log I made if anyone wants that too. Write down the contacts on it then transfer to the PC or QRZ.com later.

It looks something like this when it is printed with some important information that may be needed to be remembered at the bottom of the page.

I've just been freshly allocated my lowly M6 callsign as well and this is just what I needed nay27uk, thank you.
Excuse my ignorance but where the chart says phone, does this mean voice modes?

I still use a pencil and paper to log the more interesting contacts, I don't bother logging Europe unless it's a rare one, then I transfer them to an excel spreadsheet later. I don't log enough to warrant logging software.

You should be proud of your achievement, yes, 'phone' is any voice contact regardless of mode.

Very well done on the pass there mate and welcome to the hobby.
Glad I could be of assistance.
I will upload that call log too just change the details at the bottom with your own or you can remove them totally if you don't need them.
