Well a big thanks to all those who helped to urge these to go digital by keying them out!

spoilt for all.

I think the brain-deads just speeded up the process, it would have happened anyway.

Get yourself an MD-380 and you can listen in again, very few if any SW are encrypted at the moment, but if the local morons get 380's and start messing about again then that will be the next thing.

is this the system thats ;icensed at 2 watts but can be heard half way across yorkshire or am i getting mixed up with the shopping centre one

I'm sure Shopwatch have been on DMR for a while now, the DMR repeater has been active for a few years. During the day parking and the council engineers seemed to be the only ones on MPT, with Pubwatch at night.

They've had morons keying up and making noises down the radio's for years which probably didn't help things.

I'm pretty sure the system used to be on the old 40m high council block that was demolished a few years ago which gave the wide coverage. I think it's now moved onto the town hall building on Waterdale which is considerably lower.

UPDATE: frequencies have changed 453.825 453.600 still analogue

does anyone know if York shopwatch are encrypted?

just an update Doncaster townnet is now on dmr 453.825 as from September 2017

York went digital about three years ago. I used to pick them up when driving in and one day, there they weren't.

not sure if they are on 453.825 as used to be really busy but hetting nothing now on dmr or analogue anybody else having any luck

Iv'e been picking them up for 3.5 years aproximatley but since Friday camera room and a copper keep telling everyone to go on to channel 2 does anyone know what frequency channel 2 is

it might be the color code

Search 453.000 to 457.000 and you will prob find ch2 very quickly.
