Of course you can. :P

Shopwatch is a scheme in many towns, where security guards at each various shops are all linked up by the radio.
They keep an eye on any shoplifters etc. Same at night for pubwatch - Doormen are all linked up via radios, and this enables them pass on information to other doormen about various drunk people

Here in stoke the shopwatch system is run by the council from their CCTV control room. (callsign Golf Whiskey) With the shopping centre providing their own assistance to the shops in the shopping centre (callsign Pappa Control) If the shops need assistance they will call up Golf Whiskey/Pappa Control from their radios. If the police are needed then Golf Whiskey/Pappa Control get contact them through the tetra/airwave terminals they have.

Thats best I could put it

According to the list - Gloucester (presume that is your location from your profile) are on 165.1875 169.9875

They don't have to be registered to WLDC some shopwatch schemes rent the radios from private companies and the private company holds the license for it.

Info i have from old list is:

456.75 462.25 179.9 CTCSS SHOPWATCH SECURITY SIMPLE INVERSION CH2 GAINSBOROUGH LINCOLNSHIRE FM Sep-07

You really need to find the correct frequency first. As i said via PM a close call scanner sat next to your work radio would tell you the Frequency you need. That or a cheap frequency counter. As for the voice inversion i guess its set to a certain inversion point in that radio which is not adjustable so the chances of it matching the inversion used by shopwatch is remote.

You really need help from someone using that radio for shopwatch or someone local with a scanner.

If it wasn't soo cold i'd come sit in the car and have a scan.LOL

The local shopping centre will not have access to an Airwave terminal. The council CCTV control room will, but certainly not the shopping centre.
