morning all, whilst in the UHW Cardiff a consultant was nearby and his pager bleeped and then an announcement from another team member asking for him to come to ressuss , what i want to know is how to decode the voice? i know about pocsag and flex decoding but unsure about the voice?

any programs or suggestions?

I thought the voice side was clear FM as I used to be able to receive this.

With a scanner, I would first hear 2 tones which I assume would open up the speaker on the required pagers, then I would hear the voice message.

It was a few years ago though when I would listen to them so not sure if this system is still in use in my area.

I have just tuned into 454.325 and getting strong sounding pager data, but no voice yet, maybe voice has gone digital.

most hospital pagers are around 454 MHz , voice demod is usually NFM

but the ratio of bleeps to voice will drive you INSANE!
