Re: Cardiff town doormen?
The last time I was in Cardiff at night I was working just off Greyfriars Road in the city centre, there was a lot of door staff activity on the UK General/Simple UK Light frequencies. Very funny to listen to at times.
But that was about 2yrs ago so I dont know if it has changed since then.

Re: Cardiff town doormen?
OK so having been out celebrating the festive season i did venture into Cardiff town and low and behold!! the doormen for all of town are using " Sepura" tetra hand helds...and as the friendly doorman said its so they can keep in constant communication with "charlie Romeo" (control room at central police station...the majority of nightclubs are now using the tetra radios, except one or two such as tiger tiger which uses UHF analogue and GLAM , but these are the only ones now..... so unless i can figure out talkgroups /issi/ gssi/ etc etc etc for the tetra then may as well give up LOL!
but will keep searching on!
