Replacement Astatic Mic Lead?

Post by PeterA »

Anyone recommend the best place to get a replacement 6 core mic lead for an Astatic MOD 575-M6 Teardrop.

Found a couple non genuine (obviously) from the US... but none this side of the pond that look good enough?

4 wires is enough. No need for 6.

Yep, Sent them a message already asking about coiled length etc.

Another I've messaged the seller about is claiming 3m length (uncoiled obviously) for £6.35...

Put this thread up to see if anyone recommended others I've not seen or come across.

Appreciate your replies though... Thanks!

The restraint on that will fits well with a little shaving where the 2 mic shell halves fit. . The cable isnt that long or fat though. Weare CB (usa) have something original looking at 17 dollars but they don't take international payments.

Appreciate the link... Picked up a 6 pin mike extension lead in the end to replace the one on the teardrop.

The other one I got would be more suited to a K40 in my opinion.

Thanks.

When I did up my white and gold Astatic 575-M6, I ordered an off-white mic' lead from the US. I then used a spring-type restraint from another type of 'mic (similar to this one on the pic', but without the gaps in it), but gold-plated it first, as well as gold-plating the 4-pin plug.

It's like a blingy thing living in blingyland ;)

Now that does sound Bling! 8)

Yep, Astatic 636L Mics have those spring type strain relief...

I picked up the 6 core extension lead for £7.90inc p&p.

The other one which is more suited to a K40 lead was £5.30inc p&p.

So can't complain about the prices really...
