Wednesday 27th June 2018 is the 4th Anniversary of legal SSB in the UK and we plan to celebrate this in style with six regional nets designed to give everyone the chance to work as many English Counties as possible!

Our aim is to have portable stations active on high ground in all 48 english counties between 6 &10pm forming as part of six regional networks giving everyone the best chance to work as many counties as possible on the night.

The chair's of each net will be able to pass you round to the county station's on high spots up and down the land maximizing everybody's chances of working parts of England you might not often hear on the 11m band

From Cornwall to Cumbria, Northumberland to Kent! Join us on Wednesday 27th June to wish SSB in the UK a Happy 4th Birthday.




And for those who can't get out Mid-week don't worry, we are encouraging anyone who would like to take to the hill's and activate their own County stations to do so on either Sunday surrounding the main event between 11am & 1pm on both Sundays there will be a chance to work many English county station as well!

I remember it well...

The very first person I spoke to on Legal AM was none other than Mark the Cobraman himself. He put a call out as soon as it hit midnight. Given the fact that he's sadly no longer with us it's somewhat of an honour.

Yeah.... seemed a little non-inclusive. I am sure it was more of an oversight than a sub. I am sure they'd let you come and play

Biggest activation on the CB radio in British history and only 26 div involved,just happen to be surrounded with hills here,take it the calling frequency is on 27.275 Usb then Tom or will Lsb be used like 27.385 maybe ? As there is no calling frequency I will put the radio on scan,C'mon Tom over

Maybe I should create some artwork which is more inclusive and promote it?

Only into shooting skip Craig,not the TM1 mods for promoting CB radio on here.Tom has plenty time to upload more info and I look forward to this special radio event

SSB CB was legalised in all four British Countries - Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the other one.

The Big Multimode Nets will still be running this year as usual for ALL of the UK and beyond....

Yes it's true. AM and SSB on Mid (CEPT/FCC) Band with 12 watts pep has been legal now for 4 years. It's no wind up!

For me participation is a must .

I want to be sat up on Edgehill or if not Great Rollright for at least an hour talking to you guys. Middleton Cheney is another option but my home QTH for these events is about as much use as a chocolate teapot as its in the lowest point of the town . Its a good take off point for Europe and further away though

I'm looking forward to a few QSOs on AM as well as SSB .

My CB activity has been scarce in recent years but I hope to make up for it .

The main thing is that we raise the profile of CB radio here in the UK and hopefully the events on 27th June will create new connections and friendships which may turn into regular chats thus increasing the number of stations on the air.
