Bardwell Sheffield.

Post by TangoCharlie18 »

NR Bardwell in Sheffield has now closed.
Gutted.
Bardwells was once a good supplier of components, CB gear and generally one of the most interesting shops in the world.

Nearly everyone else has gone - I know, the hobby is severely diminished, I know, Internet clicks vs. Bricks, I know, SM components now, I know.

But Bardwells, used to stock most things you could ever need - to build or repair things electric or electronic.

I'm parked outside now and a big orange 'to let' sign in the window has pissed me off for the day.

Sod it.

It was a good place.

Couldn't get near the counter on a Saturday.

Went in there in January, seriously depleted stock, a crying shame.

I feel ur pain...we in the bike world are in the same sad state of affairs...breakers are all but gone, small local bike shops are a shadow of years gone by....what are left seem to be staffed by fone gawping goons.
