Antennas are dangerous

Post by NightProwler »

Driving up to North Wales the other day I almost crashed the car after spotting a MK2 Thunderpole on a chimney. Im always doing this, Driving along keeping an eye out for old antennas but if I spot something like an old Thunderpole I start hanging out the window like an excited dog with my tongue hanging out shouting "It's a Thunderpole", It can be a bit dangerous at times. The wife thinks im bonkers :D Anyone else do this or is it just me?

Guilty as charged m'lud. I've done it since the early 80's and still do keep an eye out hence my pic in the aerial spotting topic on here a week or two ago.
