Dave tuned?

Post by Otter »

Radiozing have started putting "Dave tuned" on some of their adverts. Who is this "Dave", and should we be impressed that he's been fiddling inside a radio before we purchase it?

These President Grant II Premium **Dave tuned" radios have been worked on by our engineer, Dave in Wales:
How can they be sold as new if someone has been poking about inside them?

I saw this Dave tuned thing on their facebook page, and I asked what it meant and they didn't answer.

So personally if I was going to buy a new radio I would steer clear until it is obvious who it is.

Could be the same bloke who fixed up those dodgy Jopix Itaca radios a while back for all we know.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

If it's the Dave chap that I'm thinking of he's a very good radio tech .I first dealt with him around 30 years ago , he then moved a few years later ( lost touch ) and a few years back was working for LAMS ( too pricey for me lol ) but has now moved to Wales as far as I'm aware .

It's certainly not me. If I'd had my grubby mitts inside them, they'd never work again :)
