Anytone AT-5555 dat files for V6

Post by 310den »

Had a search through the old threads but no joy. I have the above but the only dat file I have that I want to use is for a V4 which as you know is not compatible.
Is there a way of editing the file to update it? I tried Notepad but it makes the file invalid if you change anything.

The file I had was from on here that someone posted, UK CB on band A then LoLo to HiHi on B upwards. That is what I am after but for a V6 if anyone has one or knows how to edit and update a V4 dat file that would be great.

Thanks.

I can provide you with V6 Dat files and you can then edit them to suit.
I'll PM you.

Are the DAT files for the 5555 the same format as the ones for a 6666 I wonder.

My dat file software for my 6666 is V2. I'm guessing it must be different as I cannot find any reference to a version higher than V2 for the 6666.

My suggestion would be to have a go yourself, it's so simple even I can do it, and it can be fun, you can then tweak your radio exactly how you want it and not how someone else wants theirs.

I could not do it. Not talking about changing frequencies or settings as that is easy but changing version. I used notepad++ and where it shows V100 and the beginning I changed it to V600 but that makes the file invalid so how to you convert a previous file version to a V6 and what do you use to do it?

I'm probably getting confused here, just open the V6 software and start again, or copy and paste.

Yes I think crossed wires. Copy and paste is not so easy either unfortunately. Being able to edit an earlier version file to update it to a later one would be good but it's not made to be easy unfortunately. 8)

Just to answer my own question = the 5555 software is not the same as the 6666 software and the files are not transferable between models.
