Agreed ^^^ = out in the sticks, yes, it's a good tool for many folk and with 4W on a normal aerial it isn't going to cause any big issues.

I have had to exclude C19 from the scan on my set because of those gits 40 miles away in Liverpool running 500W. Just think of the disruption they are causing and over such a large area. Around here we tend to use C25 as the breaker channel just because of those 3 or 4 morons.

It's not like me, but if I knew who / where they were, I would "grass them up"

what i dont get is why people have conversations on19 why dont they move to a spare channel ?

I always thought the procedure was breack on 19 see who's there change a transmission of less than a minute and then change to a clear channel to continue conversation please correct me if I'm wrong

TBH when conditions are flat i'm not to bothered if the local crew are bumping their gums on ch19, it's the swearing that i'm not keen of.

There are still people on every day up my way so it's far from dead. Granted it ain't like it was in it's heyday. The airwaves are always busy when the skip is up .

Agreed. It's quite active around me recently, more so in fact than it has been for a few years. Seems to be making something of a comeback I reckon

What I can't understand is someone comes through asking if they're 'getting out' or asking for a 'radio check' and you reply to them and they thank you and that's it, never heard again, well, what's all that about, if that's all there is to a conversation then why do they have a radio?
