I like AM but it is difficult to get any range of the band has any noise.

I'm at hell's arse here in the West of Scotland regarding AM use but it it's a plan this year I'll head to high ground try the Grant 2 premium.

I will try and get up on the hill. Will probably take my PC-999 Grant, as they are a real screamer on AM.

I'm looking forward to the first time I haven't been working away for this.

Will try to find a vacant hill here in Derbyshire and lurk around channel 14 to see if I can hear anyone......

Well..... not a complete washout....

I could hear Tim 26FB879 down in Hertfordshire.... in the back of the box... but he was definately there. Congrats Tim, you were making it to near Ashbourne in Derbyshire

Unfortunately there was no activity near me. I listened and called from 7 till 8....

I need more power mobile......

I heard someone in QSO on channel 16, but they were on FM :|
Other than that, completely dead. On a positive note, I had much less PLT noise this year :thumbup:
Will try again next year :)

The Halloween AM Net is traditionally eerily quiet :mrgreen:
