164.115 FM Bolton Control

Post by MajicM »

I've had this DMR frequency in my faves for some time but have never picked anything up with DSD+ on it.

This evening I've just picked something up, a conversation between "Bolton Control" and "Bolton Mobile 4".

Only this is, I wasn't able to determine what/who they are.

In the UK Scanning Directory (April 2017) the closest is:

164.1125 159.6125 MOUNTAIN RESCUE, ENGLAND & WALES WIDE

but that's not digital.

Anyone have any ideas what it is?

Thanks :)

Refining this, I think it is 164.1125 - sounded like they were delivering sandwiches (welfare packs) to the firefighters up at Winter Hill.

MRT are helping with the fires, they are helping run hose pipes and move gear around along with keeping an eye on firefighters.

This was, decoded via DSD+.

I've had this frequency stored for months but never heard anything but the DMR noise.
