anybody know who this is? sounds like a taxi co but now idea who, its in the knowsley area of liverpool

listening more it doesnt seem so much like a cab firm

I think you might be offset there mate. Try 172.6125 with CTCSS 241.8 if this is the same what your picking up then is delta taxis talking to base :) maybe someone got a delta taxi near you haha :)

My family are from aintree so we are not that fair from each other.

Taxis that are on my scanner are.
167.4375 blueline?
167.5375 SRC (I think)

Other
168.1375 - business??
167.8500 - contractors for housing?

That is probably a mobile freq, for which the base will be 167.725 — but there is no taxi firm in the WTR in Knowlsey on that freq.

turns out it is newtown cars, the only freq on wtr is their data link but nothing for in car comms (i can confirm this is comms as they refer to the base as "The Towny" at times which is what we locally call kirkby's town centre.... aslo its where Newtown are based)
