Radio Astronomy is more of a "listening to space" thing. Unless you're picking up a message from another world ! But chances are it's Taxi data leaking up from PMR Low Band. Might also be worth checking it's not local interference, like an ethernet router, they put noise out all over the place.

85.945 is NOT in a radio astronomy band.
This is what you should be looking at:
http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/spectr ... on/uk-fat/
Page UK 38
The footnote "UK10" against Radio Astronomy refers to Annex D.
Annex D refers to 80·5 - 82·5 MHz used for "Scintillation studies and mapping radio sources".
Nothing to do with 85.945
85.945 is in the Business Low Band — Mentioned in annex K
"85.0125 MHz to 86.7 MHz paired with 71.5125 MHz to 72.7875 MHz"
And it won't be 85.945, the band has 12.5 kHz channeling, not 5kHz, so it will be 85.9375 or 85.95
Look in the WTR to find out what it is

Thanks Minus,
I had a look at the frequency and i am not sure if was meant to be down there, It was a taxi company MDT. Only found this out by mistake as the decoder i used i left on and it started to decode the noise.
Thank you again
