If anyone could come up with some subtones for the database I'd be really grateful.
Also, I'd welcome reports on which are data, which are digital voice, which are encrypted and which are in the clear.

By chance I came across this document from JRC Ltd responding to an OFCOM consultation on spectrum trading in 2009:

http://www.jrc.co.uk/publications/press ... EC2009.pdf

In it they reveal that they liaise with JFMG regrading the temporary use of some of JRC's 48 telemetry channels in the 457.5-458.5 band by Formula 1 teams during the British Grand Prix.

Not that you'll hear anything on such frequencies except data.

These 10 pairs of JFMG frequency allocations at Silverstone are new:

http://spectruminfo.ofcom.org.uk/spectr ... nd+licence

Perhaps this is because existing freqs can't cope with both BBC and Sky doing live broadcasts at the same time?

Make that 20 frequency pairs!

Update: Found 10 more!!

For anyone going to the Young Driver Test tomorrow, these freqs were active Thursday:

F1 Teams:
164.0375 / 158.5125 ~DCS266 Toro Rosso — Daniel Ricciardo (morning)
166.2125 ~DCS155 and DCS266 possibly also Toro Rosso, not clear why two DCS codes used
164.5375 ~DCS503 possibly also Toro Rosso. Little used. Italian spoken.
Everybody else was presumably digital, no other CC hits for teams

Silverstone Circuit:
162.525 / 157.925 ~167.9 Race Control (This is Marine:98 / US Weather :7 — though unsure if using 25k or 12.5k bandwidth, either works!)
453.2 / 459.7 ~218.1 Race Control - comms with Teams
453.925 / 460.425 ~156.7 Security
453.975 / 460.475 ~71.9 Circuit (Toilets mentioned) not :4
456.525 ~110.9 :4 ;-) Cleaners
456.675 ~103.5 unid

121.075 was active for helis, though base sig was rubbish (tx may be off site)

Possible data/digital/telemetry freqs all unid:
151.7125
153.925
155.25
155.65
147.85 (previously reported to be McLaren)
147.975 (previously reported to be McLaren)
417.??? …forgot to note last bit
424.0
457.4875 (Yes i know this is a fire brigade freq!)

(All of the above is utterly useless info when the cars go past, as you can hear NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNaff all :-)

Other F1 Teams TETRA
420.700 & 410.700
421.250 & 411.250
426.050 & 416.050

Silverstone
162.525 & 157.925 is the relatively new Silverstone Marshals freq

455.4875 is Cleanevent Cleaners (MotoTRBO)
456.675 is the Silverstone Drive School as is 461.8875
169.0875 is the ticket booths
163.675 MotoTRBO is St Johns

I too logged hits on 155.250 155.650 and 457.4875 but thought these were just intermod / spurious signals.

Interested to know if you or anyone else had any hits on 163.1375 D454 (no idea what this might have been).

Jim,

You may well be right about the DCS266 intermod on 166.2125, I was getting a lot of close call hits; though I never got the Lotus freqs.

In the WTR, 163.675 is allocated to the Red Cross, I did see several of their ambulances about but didn't try to establish the freq. They have been known to share freqs with SJA though.

I didn't notice anything on 163.1375
